Mango Plants Roots in Metrocentre’s Red Mall

Sovereign Centros from CBRE has announced that international fashion retailer, Mango, has signed at top five super regional mall, Metrocentre.

The brand is set to join the centre’s lower Red Mall later this year, opening its largest store in the region to date.

Mango will bring a Mediterranean-inspired and versatile assortment of womenswear and menswear to Metrocentre, later this summer. Its new 6,233sq ft unit sits adjacent to Jo Malone, a stone’s throw from other lower Red Mall favourites Zara, H&M and anchor brand Flannels. Marking the retailer’s biggest store in the region, Mango will be a welcome addition to the destination, reinforcing its ability to deliver best-in-class retail.

Ben Cox, Director at Sovereign Centros from CBRE commented: “Introducing Mango to Metrocentre brings an added dimension to an already compelling fashion offer. Mango will be a highly complementary addition to our Red Mall line up, which has seen significant investment and an abundance of new commitments over the last twelve months. We prove time and time again that we really are the go-to destination for retail and we look forward to seeing Mango thrive here at Metrocentre.”

This announcement follows the news that Footasylum has opened into a new and upsized space within the centre, taking on a 12,375sq ft unit in Red Mall and increasing its presence by 25 per cent. Additionally, Metrocentre has seen a flurry of new investment and the re-anchoring of Red Mall with the relocations and upsizes of international powerhouses Sports Direct, Flannels and Zara, creating more than 170,000sq ft of new retail space.
