Marks & Spencer to Remain Open at Raffles City

The outlet will not be closing, despite news last year that the store would be permanently closing on the last day of 2020.

Marks & Spencer is a sister brand of Robinsons, which announced its departure from Singapore late last year after operating in the market successfully for 162 years. The Robinsons outlet which was also located at Raffles City mall closed its doors forever on January 9. Although plans were in place to also close the Marks & Spencer outlet, it appears that these plans have been reversed.

A Marks & Spencer Spokesman, commented: “While we were initially reviewing our Raffles City Shopping Centre store, through our long-term partnership with CapitaLand, we’re delighted to continue serving customers at this store.

“We’re committed to offering the best shopping experience and responding to our customers’ needs.”

Marks & Spencer currently has 11 stores in Singapore, with the Raffles city outlet being one its long-running locations in the city, having been open there for more than 34 years.
