Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel is opening on 21 June at Disneyland Paris, with bookings beginning yesterday.
It is the first hotel in the world dedicated to Marvel art, and houses one of the largest public collections of Marvel artwork. The hotel, which has 471 superior rooms and 90 executive rooms, includes 350 artworks from comics and movies by more than 110 artists. This includes 50 exclusive pieces.
“There is such a great array of artwork on display in the bedrooms,” said Tom Muller, Set Designer at Walt Disney Imagineering. “We produced, printed and framed over 1,400 pieces of art that are hanged on the walls. The Downtown Restaurant is the place in the hotel where you should find the most artwork per square metre, from the most obvious characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Panther and Black Widow.”
Additional offerings at the hotel include photo opportunities at the Heroic Selfie Spot at the Super Hero Station, as well as the Marvel Design Studio and Hero Training Zone. Disney’s Hotel New York also has 25 suites dedicated to Spider-Man, the Avengers and Marvel Super Heroes, while F&B outlets will celebrate Marvel art.
