The concept is brought to life by Masayoshi Takayama, who also helms the New York three-Michelin-starred sushi restaurant of the same name.
Alongside these two concepts, Takayama’s portfolio also includes Japanese restaurant Bar Masa and Kappo Masa on Madison Avenue, for which he partnered with Larry Gagosian.
Harrods has a long and rich history of working and partnering with high-profile chefs and last year opened Studio Frantzen with Swedish Chef Bjorn Frantzen, whose restaurants in stockhold and Singapore both hold three-Michelin stars.
Speaking on the partnership, Harrods said that the partnership would “mark another monumental development in Harrods restaurant agenda and brings chef Masa’s signature Japanese cuisine to the UK for the first time” in a “prime location” within its store in the Knightsbridge area.
