The British luxury women’s clothing brand has opened a 1,900sq ft store on Madison Avenue, marking the direct-to-consumer brand’s first international physical location.
The flagship will be followed by two additional boutiques opening in SoHo and the Hamptons later this spring.
The new store, which has the words ‘intelligent style, now and forever’ emblazoned on its 980 Madison Avenue window, has bought “timeless design, luxury fabrics and expert construction” to the streets of New York, it said.
Founded by former advertising executive Clare Hornby in 2009, the brand is known for its signature pants, sharp tailoring, and silk dresses “built on the understanding that modern women shouldn’t have to choose between quality and cost or between style and functionality.”
The flagship store’s design is a collaboration between New York-based architectural specialists Rigos Mills and local British creatives “to create a fusion of British craft and American design sensibility across all three stores”.
