German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has partnered with real estate firm JDS Development Group to build a 67-storey mixed-use tower in Miami.
Located at 1 Southside Park in the Brickell neighbourhood of the city, Mercedes-Benz Places will feature 791 residences, a 174-key hotel, 20,000sq ft of office space, health and wellness facilities, retail shops and on-site parking.
JDS will work in collaboration with SHoP Architects to ensure the structure of the project aligns with the “sensual purity” design philosophy of Mercedes-Benz. Urban landscape designers Field Operations will also reimagine Southside Park. Construction of Mercedes-Benz Places has already begun with initial occupancy set for 2027. Sales will be managed by SERHANT.
“It is a privilege to work with Mercedes-Benz and move beyond a traditional residential building to create a new community for the future,” said Michael Stern, Founder and CEO of JDS Development Group. “Underpinned by sustainable building methods and design, Mercedes-Benz Places in Miami will create a legacy not just for Brickell but for Florida as a whole.”
