The Canadian retailer has enjoyed a massive period of growth as people continued to spend more time outdoors amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Modern Golf currently operates four locations across Canada with two in Calgary, one in Vancouver, and one in Mississauga. Three more store locations are currently under construction, ready to open in January 2021. The three new stores are located at Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre; Dundas and Trafalgar and Mississauga.
As Covid-19 has encouraged people to spend more time outside, golf has provided a much needed activity for people to become involved in.
“From Modern Golf’s perspective, we’re running 150 to 200 per cent revenue growth month over month. I think everyone in the industry is experiencing growth that they never would have imagined. Obviously there’s a huge, huge amount of new golfers coming in because of Covid but also a huge influx of golfers that left the game,” commented Paul Fisher, Managing Partner of Modern Golf.
