Mondrian Singapore Duxton Opens

The Mondrian era begins in the Lion City with the opening of Mondrian Singapore Duxton, the brand’s Southeast Asian debut.

Injecting its signature blend of art, glamour, and culinary flair into the vibrant neighbourhood of Duxton Hill, Mondrian Singapore Duxton rises above the historic and colourful Chinatown shophouses, with sweeping views of the glittering cityscape. A stone’s throw from the Central Business District, the hotel invites travellers and locals alike to explore the surrounding area and relax in its 302 guestrooms and shophouse suites, cinematic rooftop pool and four electric restaurants and bars.

Inviting the dreamers, artists, rebels and free-thinkers to experience their new spiritual home, Singapore’s newest hospitality concept provides a gateway to all that the city’s chic, art-forward Duxton district has to offer.  Guests have the chance to meet a team of ‘unexpected talents’; Mondrian’s charming all-star cast of iconoclasts and change-makers from across the fields of hospitality, cuisine, design, fashion, nightlife, and art, who are dedicated to delivering hospitality unlike any other. They are the hosts and guides to all that Mondrian and Duxton Hill have to offer, as guests relax, get inspired and prepare to explore a world of design, art, fashion and sheer cool.

Designed by Los Angeles-based hotshop Studio Carter, the resort draws inspiration from the heritage conservation area’s unconventional architecture and rich melting pot of culture, offering a feeling of ‘deconstructed shophouse chic’. Guests will know that they’ve arrived somewhere special as they realise a bustling restaurant and bar has replaced the traditional lobby. Head out and explore the Duxton neighbourhood’s barista cafes, Michelin-starred eateries, in-the-know bars, avant-garde galleries and independent boutiques.
