Following the conclusion of a lease agreement with Pandox in Copenhagen, Motel One is due to open its first Scandivian property in October.
The design-budget hotel group will continue the operations of the existing h27 hotel in the city centre close to the City Hall and the Tivoli.
With its new hotel in Copenhagen, the Munich hotel group is expanding its portfolio to Scandinavia. “Copenhagen is one of the most exciting cities in Europe and we are proud to enter the Scandinavian market with our first hotel in a truly fantastic location,” comments Stefan Lenze, Co-CEO Motel One.
The hotel underwent a renovation by Pandox in 2020, which was completed in June 2021. The new design of the lounge and the 200 rooms is in the style of the Danish 50s and 60s, which works well with the traditional building from 1927. After a soft rebranding, Motel One will continue the on-going operations of the hotel in October 2021.
