The team at Famously Proper Ltd, the group that owns leading casual dining restaurant chain, Byron Burgers, have added a new feather to their cap.
After acquiring Mother Clucker, and having taken it UK nationwide via delivery kitchens last year, they are ready to launch the first Mother Clucker high street restaurant on 6 June in London’s trendy, street-food friendly Islington.
For lovers of delicious deep-fried chicken (or vegan version!), head over to Upper Street and take a pew at one of the communal tables to enjoy a full menu of tea brined, buttermilk soaked and double dunked crispy chicken burgers, strips, wings, wraps and the restaurant’s claim to fame, WOWffles: Chicken & Waffles. Top them off with an assortment of cajun, filthy, cheesy or naked fries, tots, gravy, tangy and hot sauces, and creamy milkshakes, chilled beer and drinks to make the whole experience even better.
Borrowing cues from the nostalgic food truck Mother Clucker originated from, the new restaurant has been designed with ease and speed in mind, whilst not compromising on aesthetics or an air of relaxed fun, so that those dining in, can enjoy their favourite food, without feeling like they are in a fast-food joint. The design team are proud to have used upcycled and recycled materials on over 70 per cent of the fittings, fixtures and furniture… and for true Mother Clucker fans, you may even notice a couple of things from the original street food truck!
