The rock climbing space which is touted as Dubai’s largest indoor climbing facility is moving from its previous location at Business Bay.
The new Mountain Extreme will occupy a space of more than 9000sq ft. A number of features are being implemented to enhance the climbers experience including the MoonBoard, an interactive and computerised training wall where climbers can see their problem areas and share performance rankings with others around the world.
One of the main aims of the new facility is to introduce more people to rock climbing as a sport. A number of routes are available for beginners and more advanced climbers.
Although the park is reopening in early October, only members will be able to visit for the time being as a result of Covid-19 and the risk of it spreading. James Falchetto, Founder commented: “We have to limit the number of people we can welcome at any time. Our members from our first location deserve to be the first to try the new gym, so they get to book themselves in.”
