The Colombian men’s underwear brand Mundo Único is growing thanks to its own channels and focusing on exports. The firm will close the year with a 21 per cent advance in direct billing.
“The company has had sustained growth in the face of an atypical and challenging year for the commerce and fashion sector, where we have managed to grow 21 per cent in short channels, such as our points of sale and the e-commerce channel, in which we increasingly enhance the closeness and contact with the final consumer,” reported Alfonso Bernal, General Manager of Mundo Único.
In its 27-year history, the company has built a solid legacy of comfort and well-being for men around the world, therefore, its objective is to be present throughout the national territory, which is why today it has more than 12 points sales located in the cities of Medellín, Bogotá, Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Villavicencio and Ibagué and they have planned in the short term to open new points of sale and new formats in main and intermediate cities of the national territory.
It is important to highlight that, since its inception, Mundo Único has been an exporting company, its current production and distribution process is carried out in the city of Medellín and from there they operate to all the countries where they have a presence such as Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Chile, Ecuador, Panama, the US and Australia, among others.
Mundo Único plans its international expansion mainly in countries such as the US and Mexico, where it currently has a company created and from there the focus of internationalisation will be centralised.
