The brand, which owns the likes of Simply Be, Home Essentials, Jacamo and JD Williams is finally seeing recovery following a huge fall in sales due to the Coronavirus.
A third quarter trading statement revealed that group revenue fell by 8.8 per cent in the third quarter period following drops of 21.9 per cent and 13.4 per cent in the first and second quarters respectively.
The company commented that the home and gifts categories now accounted for 42 per cent of the company’s revenues and also commented that it has seen an increased demand for computing products, gaming items and white goods in the third quarter. On the other hand, dresses, formalwear and swimwear all saw a decrease in sales.
Chief Executive of N Brown, Steve Johnson, commented: “We continue to move through the acceleration phase of our strategy; simplifying and strengthening our core brand proposition whilst improving our digital capacities. This is generating continued momentum within the business, despite the difficult macroeconomic backdrop.”
