Neom and Marriott Sign Agreements

Saudi Arabia’s Neom and US-based hotel chain Marriott International have signed an agreement to establish two hotel properties at Trojena.

Marriott will develop Saudi Arabia’s first W hotel and a JW Marriott hotel at Neom’s mountain destination.

The W hotel will be a 236-key property located within Trojena’s Lake Village while the JW Marriott will be a 500-key hotel situated within the Bow at Trojena.

Trojena is set to host the 2029 Asian Winter Games after Saudi Arabia won the bid last year. In September, Neom briefed mechanical, electrical and plumbing contractors on its development plans for the Ski Village resort at Trojena.

In August, Neom issued a tender for a contract to construct the shell and core components of the Vault at Trojena. The Vault will be built vertically inside a hollow mountain that will fold in on itself. It will be 198m high, 253m wide and 864m long. The total surface area of the project is 200,000sq m.

The Vault is the gateway into Trojena, a mountain destination 50km from Saudi Arabia’s Gulf of Aqaba coast.
