The company has entered into an agreement to acquire 100 per cent of the shares in Atrium Copernicus, the entity that owns Atrium Copernicus Shopping Center, from Atrium Retail Ltd.
The acquisition is all part of NEPI Rockcastle’s investment strategy to increase the concentration of its portfolio in countries with an investment-grade rating and focus on core dominant properties. The centre is spread across 48,000sq m and is the dominant retail scheme in Torun, a prosperous city of 200,000 inhabitants, with a high average purchasing power and low unemployment rate.
Copernicus Shopping Center has a BREEAM In-Use Very Good certification and a high occupancy rate of 98 per cent, including anchor tenants such as Auchan, H&M, Stradivarius, Media Markt, LPP and Decathlon. The property has outstanding operational performance and is well-positioned for future growth, both organically and through further value enhancement and extension potential.
