Not long after opening a Gelson’s Market grocery store, Hines has announced the signing of five new tenants at West Edge, its new 217,000sq ft live-work-play centre at the intersection of Olympic and Bundy on the west side of Los Angeles.
Gelson’s, a popular specialty food grocer that has expanded from 17 to 27 stores over the past decade, is known for its high-quality meat and produce departments, artisanal cheeses, and house-brand Gelson’s wines and ice cream.
West Edge now welcomes Artha, Presotea, Hammer & Nails, Clean Juice and Solidcore. West Edge opened a year ago this month with 600 apartments, 80,000sq ft of retail space and a five-acre open plaza. Its eight-storey, 217,000sq ft of building is fully leased to Riot Games, the creator of League of Legends.
Situated less than 10 blocks from the I-10 freeway, the centre has accessibility to customers from Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Brentwood, and Pacific Palisades.
“Solidcore loves West Los Angeles for its indulgent eats, youthful vibrancy, and community,” said the fitness chain’s Director of Real Estate Josh Rainey. “We were thrilled to welcome local West Los Angeles residents to our blue light community.”
