New Harrogate Cocktail Bar Given Go-Ahead

Harrogate Borough Council has approved plans for the former Moss Bros clothes shop on Parliament Street to be converted into Roland’s, a Leeds-based cocktail bar.

The owners of Roland’s submitted the proposal along with a licence application to open to the public from Monday to Sunday, 10am – 2:30am. The proposal was lodged by ELG Planning on behalf of Roland’s, and the documents submitted outlined that the move was an opportunity for the bar to expand its business.

The proposal read: “The unit on Parliament Street, Harrogate provides the best opportunity for our client to expand their existing business Roland’s. The client has been looking for a long period and due to a combination of the location and size the application site is suited to their operational needs.”

The new bar would be the latest addition to Parliament Street’s nightlife scene which already includes the Harrogate Arms, Revolución de Cuba, Mojo, Wetherspoons and the Viper Rooms.
