Al Habtoor City Theatre will now be home to a Dubai Hologram Universe starting January 30 to bring an ever-expanding wow factor to the country which seems to have it all.
The Dubai Hologram Universe is a collaborative work of art between Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), and the New Dimension Productions (NDP). NPD is also the company that created a hologram of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai at the Dubai World Summit in 2019. The year before that, the company created the exceptionally detailed 3D model of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Their first production is titled Sawwah and will feature a hologram of the late Egyptian pan-Arab singer, Abdel Halim Hafez.
Opening night will see the show begin at 8:30pm and last for 90 minutes with a collection of romantic songs by Abdel Halim Hafez forming the show. It will be similar to the hologram concert that was hosted last year in May 2021 at Dubai Opera that featured the same singer.
