The destination, called Active, is powered by Zayed Sports City (ZSC) and boasts three outdoor footfall fields, four tennis courts, and four multipurpose sports courts.
Active is located on the northern side of Al Maryah Island and is an inclusive venue, catering to any and all fitness levels. It’s complete with advanced sports equipment, expert trainers and will host a number of sporting events, bringing the community together.
Eight courts at Active will create fitness zones that are able to accommodate a variety of sports, including tennis, basketball, netball, volleyball, handball and 5-a-side football. Set to be added to the mega-destination are three paddle courts and an indoor sports dome that will house a full 11-aside FIFA approved turf pitch. These new facilities are expected to open in May 2021.
Alongside the sports facilities, Active features a number of food and beverage outlets, shops, locker rooms and water fountains.
