Seattle-based fashion retailer Nordstrom, Inc., announced plans to expand its presence in the Boston market by opening a new Nordstrom Rack in Hyannis, MA.
Gemma Lionello, president of Nordstrom Rack, said that in the new store, “customers will be able to take advantage of our convenient services such as online order pick up from both Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com, and they can make returns easily.”
The 25,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack will be in The Landing at Hyannis, a shopping center that also includes Whole Foods, Panera Bread, Old Navy, and The Paper Store. The Landing at Hyannis is owned and managed by WS Development.

Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, Inc. and plays a vital role in its “Closer to You” strategy, which focuses on delivering customers a more convenient and interconnected experience across its stores and digital platforms. Nordstrom Rack offers customers up to 70 percent off on-trend apparel, accessories, beauty products, home decor, and shoes from top brands sold at Nordstrom stores as well as core services, including online order pickup for Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com, easy returns and alterations at select stores. Nordstrom reported that its Nordstrom Rack stores are the retailer’s largest source of new customers.
Nordstrom operates seven Nordstrom Rack stores in Massachusetts, generating over 900 jobs statewide.
