The retro arcade game & classic console venue NQ64 has officially announced its newest venue which is opening in Leeds.
Launching at the end of summer on 11 Merrion St (previously home to Manahatta), the neon-splattered drinking den is bringing all things retro to the city. Enjoy cocktails & craft beers while playing a range of retro arcade machines, pinball and classic consoles to the sounds of a DJ. Rediscover the iconic video games of yesteryears as you dive into beloved classics like Pac-Man, Mario Kart, Guitar Hero, Time Crisis and Point Blank.
The new venue marks the brand’s 12th site opening and will create 20 jobs for the local area. Whether you’re an avid gamer, looking for something fun to do on date night or just love winning against your mates NQ64 has something for everyone.
The 5,000sq ft venue has a capacity of over 250, with further space to utilise which will form part of a phase two opening at a later date. Not only has the venue got one of the biggest selections of games yet, but an outdoor seating area for the warmer summer months, a hidden private area, bookable seating throughout the venue and the NQ64 exclusive “Wall Boy” which elevates the game boy to a large screen for all your mates to watch you fail at Super Mario.
Matt Robson and Andy Haygarth, Directors at NQ64, said: “We’ve been eyeing up a site in Leeds for a while now, so when the space on Merrion Street came up we were very keen to make it happen. The venue has loads of rooms for our fan favourite games and should suit the way we like guests to experience our offering perfectly. We’re looking forward to the launch already, celebrating a new opening is not something we take for granted!”
