Palazzo Versace Lands in Asia

Luxury hotel Palazzo Versace has opened its first-ever location in Asia, opting for the touristic Macau to make its debut in the region.

Located in one of the three towers of the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau, Palazzo Versace Macau is designed with a mix of Italian design codes and local Chinese symbolism. Featuring 271 rooms and suites across 12 floors, the hotel’s interior design is evocative of an Italian Palazzo and Versace’s Milanese heritage.

Guests are welcomed at the expansive lobby by a representation of Versace’s home in Milan – the Palazzo at Via Gesù 12 that houses the Versace Atelier—crafted from over 80,000 hand-laid enamel mosaic tiles. Codes of the house including the Medusa, geometric Greca motif and Barocco print are rendered in craft finishes, alongside the chrysanthemum flower and an ornate dragon – which feature throughout the hotel, with decorative sculptures and lush custom carpets incorporated into terrazzo floors and mosaics.

In addition to the rooms, the hotel amenities include two Italian restaurants, a wellness retreat, personal training studio and indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
