Penfolds has launched a new Wine Bar and Kitchen retail concept at Adelaide Airport – selling wine alongside a seasonal F&B offer – in partnership with Emirates Leisure Retail.
The new duo-category travel retail concept started operations at Adelaide Airport on 26 February and is located in the new retail and dining precinct within the airport’s domestic and international terminal.
The first Penfolds in-airport concept of its kind globally, the space is described by the wine specialist as “architecturally curated” and delivering a “distinctive sophisticated aesthetic”. It’s aim was to bring a taste of the Magill Estate to travellers on the go. This new focused airport F&B offer complements experiences at the existing cellar doors of some of South Australia’s best-known vineyards such as Magill Estate and Barossa Valley.
Penfolds Wine Bar and Kitchen offers a wide range of wines for travellers to purchase and take with them on their journey – from the coveted Cellar Reserve and Penfolds Collection to selections from the Max’s and Koonunga Hill tiers. A number of special bottlings are also featured, including Lot. 518 Spirited Wine with Baijiu, Penfolds x Thiénot Champagne and Special Bin 111A Clare Valley Barossa Valley Shiraz.
The complementary food menu was carefully chosen using a premium selection of South Australian produce to complement Penfolds wines and ‘House Style’ – a philosophy the brand has upheld for 175 years.
