Located at 601 Washington Avenue, the new 266-room hotel is hailed to open January 2021.
Iconic music star Pharrell Williams has teamed up with hospitality entrepreneur David Grutman and developer Eric Birnbaum for his first hotel project. The Goodtime Hotel houses 266 rooms, a workout area, a pool deck, a recording studio and 45,000sq ft of retail space spread across seven storeys. The hotel will also include Strawberry Moon, a full service restaurant, bar and pool club with indoor and outdoor seating.
In a recent interview, Pharrell Williams commented: “It’s good vibes, good energy, good karma, good food, good much, good environment, good vibration. Come there one way, and then you leave vibrating. We call it spiritual Wi-Fi.”
The building has been under construction for the past three years and the planned opening comes as the hotel industry is beginning to rebound from the impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic and the particular effects borne on to the hospitality industry.
