The company has revealed that permission has been granted for a brand new 60,000sq ft site in Reading.
Dobbies already has a store on Hyde End Road, but this new location is to be constructed on the land that is behind the existing store. The existing store will remain open for the business for the majority of the building stage and then become a car park with EV charging facilities.
Graeme Jenkins, CEO at Dobbies, said: “Reading is already a popular store and we are delighted to be able to offer our customers an even better experience in our new store.”
Founded in 1865 by James Dobbie, Dobbies is headquartered close to Edinburgh and has 74 stores, a number which doubled when they purchased 37 stores back in 2019.
