The planning application for the Rhydycar West development is set to be submitted in June.
Following a five year period of consultations, considerations and discussions, the planning for the new leisure development will finally be submitted this summer. The proposed elements include an indoor snow centre that stands at over 500 metres long, making it one of the largest indoor ski slopes in Europe and the world. The snow centre will operate all year round and provide amazing conditions for skiing across all seasons.
Also part of the proposal is an indoor tropical water park that will provide a constant tropical climate and host artificial beaches, swimming and bathing areas and exciting water slides and attractions. An indoor / outdoor adventure park will feature a mountain coaster, clip ‘n’ climb, and zip wires. The development will also feature a luxury spa hotel, sports hotel and lodge and glamping zone.
Although the pace has been slow, Marvel, the company behind the project, has made significant progress and the final stages of work on the planning application are now in progress. The public consultation will take place digitally in line with current Covid-19 UK guidance.
