Asian toy and entertainment brand Pop Mart is kicking off 2024 by expanding its presence in Los Angeles.
The brand will open two stores in the nation’s second largest city: one at Westfield Century City and the other at Glendale Galleria. The Century City store opened on 10 February, while the Glendale store’s grand opening is still to be determined.
Last month, Pop Mart opened its first store in California’s Bay Area at the Westfield Valley Fair Mall. The new store followed the opening of the company’s first permanent U.S. location, which opened in September at American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey and positive feedback from fans on two long term pop-up locations in New York City’s World Trade Center and Costa Mesa, Calif.’s South Coast Plaza.
“As a California native, I am thrilled about the new Pop Mart store openings, and the opportunity to connect with our fans at the Century City grand opening,” said Luis Barrientos, EVP of Real Estate at Pop Mart.
