The US-based fast food giant has signed a franchise deal to grow their footprint in the Saudi Arabia market.
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Inc, better known as Popeyes, currently has operations in 30 countries across the world and more than 3,400 outlets. The fast food brand is targeting Saudi Arabia for expansion following the signing of a franchise agreement with Tanmiah Food Company’s subsidiary Gulf Brand Fast Food Company.
David Shear, International President of Restaurant Brands International, the parent company of Popeyes, commented: “Saudi Arabia is an important market in our expansion plans for the MENA region.”
Meanwhile, Zulfiqar Hamadani, CEO of Tanmiah, added: “The establishment of Gulf Brand Fast Food Company and the agreement with Popeyes form part of our strategic growth plans, which will see us focus on expanding our capacity in our core segments and build a leading food brand franchise operator offer.”
The agreement will see the Popeyes brand expand its footprint across Saudi Arabia, with new restaurants set to open over the next few years.
