Porene Launches Omotesando Flagship

The leather goods brand from Paris has today opened its first flagship site in Asia with an Omotesando unit.

The company was founded in 2016 by three brothers, Mathieu, Antoine and Elsa. The brand offers leather goods and jewellery collections, and its bags are handmade by artisans in Ubrique, Spain.

The flagship store that has opened is its third site after openings in Paris and New York. The two-storey structure was designed by French interior designer Valériane Lazard. Leather goods are on the first floor, and the second floor is a space for the jewellery collection. Inside the store, there are lacquered pedestals made by Makino Lacquer Crafts, a group of lacquer artists, and works by Emmanuel Barrois, a glass designer whose representative works include the Beijing Opera House. Natural oak was used for the interior floor and sand plaster was used for the walls.
