The value-priced fashion and home goods retailer, which is owned by Associated British Foods, will unveil three new stores this summer.
Each of the new locations will feature more than 33,000sq ft of selling space. In December 2022, Primark opened a three-level store at City Point, a mixed-use development in Brooklyn, New York. It followed the opening of two additional Primark locations in the New York metro area during the holiday season.
The openings will give Primark a total of 20 stores in the US, and 428 stores globally. The retailer has set a goal to scale to 60 US stores by 2026 (and 530 globally). With most of its US stores located in the Northeast, Primark is planning to expand further into Southern states, including Florida and Texas. On the global front, upcoming new markets include Romania and Slovakia.
“The reception we’ve received as we’ve joined new communities in the US has been overwhelmingly positive, with lines of new customers waiting to meet us, so our team is so excited about the lineup of new stores we have to open this summer,” said Kevin Tulip, President, Primark US. “’Primania’ is spreading from New York to New Jersey and beyond and these three new stores will answer the demand we’ve had for our amazing fashion at amazing prices in new communities in both states.”
