Primark Ramps up Italy Expansion

The leading brand has announced ambitious plans to expand in Italy and will open five new stores across the country.

The openings will include an investment of €50M in the country and means it will grow its store footprint there to 20 locations.

Luca Ciuffreda, Primark Italy’s Director, announced the news saying the company has gone from “strength to strength – with no intention of slowing down” since it opened its first Italian store in Arese in 2016.

The new sites will open “over the next few years” with four being in new cities for the firm: Porta a Mare shopping centre (Livorno); Metropolis shopping centre, Rende (Cosenza); Maximall shopping centre, Pontecagnano Faiano (Salerno); and a new city centre store in Genoa.

Last year it opened a store in Turin’s Le Gru shopping centre and a second Turin store in the To Dream shopping centre is on the cards too.
