The property developer Prime Kapital is set to open two new shopping centres in Romania by the end of this week.

Bârlad Value Centre, with a leasable area of around 20,000sq m, opens for shoppers on today, while Prahova Value Centre in Ploiești, which spans 25,200sq m, will open on 3 December.

Both centres will host a Carrefour hypermarket and its mix of retail tenants includes domestic and international brands.

Meanwhile, Prime Kapital said it plans to develop a new mixed-use scheme in central Ploiești, on a former industrial platform covering 10 hectares.  It will feature commercial and residential functions, with support facilities. Prime Kapital has a network of retail projects and is developing residential complexes in Bucharest and Iași.
