Puma to explore sustainable technology

Puma has now partnered with Central Saint Martins, a design school in London to launch a new collection using sustainable technology.

The Puma x CSM Collection uses new dyeing technologies including “Dope Dye”, which is a process using less energy, water and chemicals than conventional wet processing, and digital printing technology which reduces waste and chemicals. The new technology also enables Puma to reduce the water consumption during making the clothing by up to nearly twenty percent. These technologies will be rolled out in other sectors of Puma’s product range after being tested in this collection.

“Reducing waste goes beyond the production cycle, which is why Puma also delved into new ways to make its marketing more sustainable,” the company said in a statement.
