Pure Electric to maintain expansion with new opening

Next Monday will see the opening of the 15th store in the Pure Electric portfolio as it launches a new site in Spitalfields, East London.

The rapid growth of the company reflects the sustained consumer demand for electric bikes and scooters. Pure Electric started 2020 with just one retail outlet, in Victoria, West London. During the course of the year, the company has taken over and relaunched 11 existing bike shops across the country and gone on to open brand new stores in Holborn, Cardiff and now Spitalfields.

Several more UK stores are planned for the immediate future, with further growth into 2021. The company is also well-advanced in preparing to open stores in Paris and Madrid. Pure Electric shops sell electric bikes and electric scooters; they also contain service centres providing servicing facilities for the company’s own products and for conventional pedal bikes.

Peter Kimberley, CEO Pure Electric “At the start of 2020 we had just one shop, we’re now opening our 15th and our third in London; it has been a year of phenomenal growth. We’ve got several more shops in the pipeline, both here in the UK and abroad. The UK is experiencing a transport revolution, thanks to better infrastructure, healthier living, environmental concerns and a recognition that low-cost travel doesn’t have to mean inconvenient travel.”
