Raju Omlet Draws up Growth Plan

The humble egg is set to make a stir across the GCC markets, with Raju Omlet – Dubai’s homegrown eatery brand popular for its vast and exotic range of egg-based dishes – drawing up ambitious expansion plans beyond Dubai into other emirates and also into the wider region.

The next stop for the common man’s eatery chain made famous with the Harvard case study on its culinary success, will be Abu Dhabi, where it plans to open two outlets by mid-2024, followed by opening outlets across the GCC region. Simultaneously, Raju Omlet will also add several more outlets in Dubai next year, where it already has close to a dozen units in many localities, including in some of the popular hangout areas of the city.

The expansion plans will be flavoured with an equally ambitious move to enlarge its menu by adding several more delicacies, besides its hot-selling spectacular range of omelettes, popular ‘bhurjis’, eggs drenched in specially flavoured gravies and eggs tucked in delicious chicken, mutton dishes and ‘biryanis’.

“We had a humble beginning in Dubai’s Karama with a 500sq ft restaurant, but when Harvard did a case study on Raju Omlet, we realised our potential. Now we are ready for a major expansion – both within the UAE and beyond,” Nakul Meherish, owner of Raju Omlet, told Arabian Business. “We feel that we should first cover all the GCC countries and then look at going outside the region,” Meherish said.
