The company is currently working on the beach formation and beautification which includes the creation of new mangrove habitats.

Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind the mega tourism destinations in Saudi Arabia – The Red Sea and Amaala – has released a construction update for its destination to mark its six-year involvement.

Announced by Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman six years ago as part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the first phase is now complete including the first three hotels and phase one of the international airport set to open later this year.

The latest construction update by Red Sea Global reveals that “remarkable progress” has been achieved including 13 more hotels and supporting infrastructure. “Our Red Sea International Airport opens this summer, with capacity to handle domestic arrivals, and by 2024, it will accommodate international flights. A full-scale, boutique airport built to handle all sizes of aircraft, from private jets to the Airbus A380, it will also be the only airport in the region with a dedicated runway for seaplanes,” says John Pagano, Group Chief Executive Officer, Red Sea Global told Arabian Business in an exclusive interview in June.

“We are firmly on track to welcome guests this year to our first resorts at The Red Sea: the Six Senses Southern Dunes, St. Regis and Nujuma Ritz-Carlton Reserve, together offering 248 keys,” he added.
