Restaurants Given 12 Months’ Notice

The Dubai developer Nakheel has given restaurants a year to leave The Pointe in Palm Jumeirah.

Dubai developer Nakheel has sent eviction notices to restaurants at The Pointe in Palm Jumeirah, ahead of a planned redevelopment of the area.

Established five years ago, the mixed-use development is situated on the iconic Palm Jumeirah, opposite Atlantis The Palm hotel. Known for its record-breaking fountain and numerous beachside dining outlets it is a popular attraction in Dubai.

Now, however, restaurants in the development have been given 12 months to vacate or relocate. Earlier this week the location’s famous fountain was closed and operated for the final time.

A Nakheel spokesperson said: “The tenants of The Pointe have been served notice, which is fully compliant with the Dubai Land Department laws, rules and regulations, as part of the future redevelopment of The Pointe.”
