Rollney to Enter Singapore

Malaysian pastry brand Rollney will open its first Singapore branch on 13 January at VivoCity, offering handcrafted chimney cakes and ice cream from Hungary.

The chimney cake, dubbed Kurtos Roll, is a historic confection of Hungarians who lived in Transylvania, Romania. The Kurtos Rolls are available in a variety of flavours, including Original, Cinnamon and Chocolate, and served with 13 distinct sauces.

The Kurtos Ice Cream, which costs SG$5-5.5, is available in two flavours – low-fat Hokkaido Milk or Royal Chocolate – and comes with up to two types of topping.

Rollney was founded by Tan Yee Ke, who spent three months in Hungary to study the local culture and baking technique. The Singapore launch marks the brand’s first overseas market outside Malaysia.
