Saddle Expands to Abu Dhabi

After operating for five years as a coffee shop, Emirati-owned Saddle is opening its first full-service, dine-in restaurant, this time in Abu Dhabi.

The new venue is in Marsa Al Bateen and is a stand-alone glass house, inspired by the original outdoor location on Al Wasl Road.

Saddle Founder and CEO Mohamed Al Falasi said: “It is a great honour for me to bring Saddle’s first dine-in experience to Abu Dhabi.  I am focused on regularly updating the culinary offering to ensure that the experience continues to be something remarkable. I consider this location simple, yet cosmopolitan, where the ingredients take centre stage. The venue is located in a unique glasshouse structure, which gives guests a view of the marina and offers a very different space, to which they will hopefully always want to come back.”

Saddle’s menu features all-day dining dishes, with stand-out options such as butternut carpaccio, salmon and tuna tartar served in an orange yuzu dressing. Mains include grilled Mediterranean sea bass, beef tagliata, baby chicken, pastas and risottos.

The interiors feature artworks by Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej. Each art piece showcases four horses. The restaurant is open daily from 8am to midnight.
