Saint-Petersburg home to new Lenta supermarket

One of the largest retail chains in Russia has announced the opening of its new supermarket in Saint-Petersburg.

The new store is the Lenta supermarket located at 5 Balkanskaya Square. The store has a total area of 1,161sq m and is open from 8am to 11pm, seven days a week. A broad assortment of products of 10,000 SKUs has been selected specifically for residents of Saint-Petersburg. The store has 150 parking spaces and eight cash registers. The property is leased by Lenta. The product assortment on-site includes Lenta’s private labels and federal product ranges alongside local produce.

Lenta undertook explicit measures to ensure safe environment for its customers and employees during the coronavirus pandemic. All Lenta stores are equipped with sanitising stations and protective screens at checkouts and own production areas to minimise health related risks. The personnel are provided with high quality respirators and gloves and go through body temperature control procedure daily. All the equipment and premises are cleaned with disinfectants several times a day.
