SAL Confirmed for Jumeirah Saadiyat Island Resort

Popular Mediterranean restaurant SAL is to open a second outpost in Jumeirah Saadiyat Island Resort. The beach club and restaurant concept will open in the UAE capital later this year.

That is according to Jumeirah Group’s Chief Commercial Officer Alex Lee who spoke to Caterer Middle East about the group’s F&B plans. Speaking at Arabian Travel Market (ATM), he said: “Our second SAL will open at Jumeirah Saadiyat Island later this year.

“Our restaurants help people steer towards us when they’re choosing their hotel stay. Some of our home-grown brands we’ve been working on such as Shimmers, Sal, Kayto, we’re now taking those brands global in our portfolio.”

Speaking about Jumeirah’s wider culinary ambitions, Lee explained the group has no intention to slow down. For him, Jumeirah’s dining is one of the key attributes which help it stand out in the increasingly-competitive Dubai market.

Lee explained: “We believe that one of the key trends out of the pandemic has been experiential travel and dining, for us, forms a key pillar of that. Jumeirah is on a mission to continue what José [Silva] started a number of years ago – having independent quality restaurants within our hotels.
