San Carlo Begins Transformation

Yesterday saw the start of a £3.5M regeneration of the San Carlo Liverpool site which marks the beginning of a big year for the business.

Following a closing event on New Year’s Eve, the restaurant shut its doors yesterday and it will remain closed for 12 weeks to allow for an extensive transformation of the venue on Castle Street. The large refurb will see the bold black and red interiors swapped out for a more modern vibe that focuses on opulence and sophistication that will be inspired by the stunning surroundings of Italy.

Commenting on the project, Managing Director Marcello Distefano said: “Our Liverpool venue has held a special place within our group and the city has been so good to us over the years – we’ve built up an incredibly loyal customer base of city dwellers, tourists, famous faces and sport stars. We are very excited that Liverpool will be the first of our new-look San Carlo Restaurants. Our much-loved venue will undergo a complete facelift, transforming the aesthetic into the most breathtakingly beautiful modern setting. We look forward to inviting in diners old and new to experience a new phase for us which will boast the same sophistication and charm as ever before combined with a stunning new look.”
