Saudi Arabia has now successfully submitted a bid to host the 2030 Asian Games, according to the Olympic Council for Asia. The bid document from Saudi’s National Olympic Committee was accompanied by letters of support from Riyadh Municipality and the kingdom’s government. A successful Saudi bid would mark its first ever OCA multi-sport event.
“The OCA is delighted to receive two strong bids for our Asian Games in 2030, it further enhances our reputation of hosting world-class sporting events on a major scale.” – OCA president Ahmad al-Sabah, said in the statement.
