Scarborough Group Launches New Concept

The Yorkshire-based property developer and investor Scarborough Group International (SGI) has unveiled a new food and beverage concept in the Far East.

Café Library adds to the Group’s hugely-successful Espuma chain of coffee houses and restaurants across Hong Kong and China, which it launched in 2014. Situated within New Town Plaza, a shopping mall in the town centre of Sha Tin, Hong Kong, SGI’s latest venture celebrates the enjoyment of life by bringing together the arts, music, food and drink.

“Café Library is our fourth restaurant in Hong Kong and, while we wanted to grow the Espuma brand, we were also keen to provide a fresh, but complimentary, offering. From the food and drinks to the décor and ambience, Café Library is a reflection of how happiness comes from truly enjoying life; something we’ve all become extremely grateful for over the past 18 months, said Peter Ko, Finance Director at SGI’s Hong Kong office.”

“I’d like to say a massive thank you and well done to all our colleagues in the Hong Kong office who have put a tremendous amount of effort into ensuring that our latest venture is a resounding success. It’s testimony to the strong leadership, dedication and vision of the whole team that we’ve been able to bring a new food and beverage concept to market at the present time,” said Kevin McCabe, Chairman of SGI.
