Union Square in Aberdeen and Silverburn in Glasgow are to fully re-open on July 13, subject to the government’s review. During the lockdown, both the essential stores in each destination remained open, whilst several stores with outside access reopened at Union Square earlier this week.
To ensure the safety of consumers, retailers and staff, independent inspection organisation Bureau Veritas has been appointed to analyse and approve the reopening plans. Additionally, several measures have been introduced to keep everyone safe, including one-way systems, clear signage reminding visitors of the need to follow social distancing guidance, and enhanced cleaning processes.
