Selfridges Launches Rental Service Online

The service further enhances the brands sustainability efforts by extending the lifespan of each clothing item.

First introduced last year in-store through a partnership with rental platform HURR Collective, the iconic British department store Selfridges is launching its rental service – Selfridges Rental – online. A curated selection of new season womenswear, menswear and accessories will be available through the service and customers are able to rent items for up to 20 days from brands including Ganni, Off-White and Dries van Noten.

The move comes at an integral time where customers are more and more concerned with sustainability and are looking to support brands that have made a specific effort to incorporate the initiative into their long-term goals.

This is just one of the many plans that Selfridges intends to roll out as part of its five-year plan. Other concepts include a pre-loved fashion initiative, a beauty packaging recycling initiative and an in-store product repair service.
