The plans aim to transform Hatta into a local and international destination for business, investment and tourism.
The Hatta Master Development Plan forms a key part of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan which was launched earlier this year. The plans include a portfolio of development projects which cover four strategic pillars: Wellbeing, Tourism, Sports and Activities and Sustainability. It will also expand green and recreational areas in a contribution towards the Dubai Ruler’s vision to transform the emirate into one of the world’s best cities to live in.
The plan maps out the development of the area over the next twenty years and intends to promote wellbeing, generate investment opportunities, support domestic tourism, attract investments, and boost public-private partnerships.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, commented: “We are steadfast in our resolve to further transform our growth and future prospects with our new development drive. Development projects in Hatta are progressively rapid as part of a plan to enhance economic and social growth, strengthen environmental sustainability, and raise the living standards and wellbeing of people of the area.”
