Located in the Anseond Gyeonggi Province in Korea, the park is being touted as the largest in the Southern Gyeonggi area.
Jointly owned by South Korean retail giant Shinsegae Group and shopping mall developer Taubman Centers, the new Starfield Anseong occupies a total area of 240,000sq m. Guests to the centre will be treated to an extensive shopping experience as well as a number of food locations, a cinema, culture centres and a library.
Despite a shift in consumer behaviour that has seen shoppers shift their focus to online spending rather than in person shopping, the owners of Starfield Anseong hope that their diverse offering of non-shopping facilities at the complex will strongly appeal to customers. One of the major attraction points at the development is the 63-metre ‘star observatory’. Guests can utilise this space to view the oak tree forest and outside plaza surrounding the centre.
