The global smart commerce platform has announced the pop-up store, called ‘POWERED BY SHOPLINE.’
SHOPLINE is a platform that helps entrepreneurs with small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to meet the challenges of selling online. Founded in Hong Kong in 2013, SHOPLINE has grown to a strong business that now has over 200,000 merchants across 10 regions in Asia utilising the platform to start their own online shops. The launch of this pop-up store is the first physical store launched by the platform.
Multiple SHOPLINE merchants have been invited to set up a physical shop at the pop-up at different times over the six month period it is planned for. The pop-up store will allow the merchants to experience the benefits of the O2O (online-to-offline) retail model.
Plato Wai, General Manager of SHOPLINE Hong Kong, commented: “The integrated O2O model has become an emerging concept for businesses globally. Our E-Commerce Whitepaper H2 2018-2019 revealed that 20 per cent of online merchants surveyed consider the O2O model, such as opening pop-up stores, as a key component of their future plans. SHOPLINE has always encouraged merchants to embrace all-rounded growth. Through our ‘POWERED BY SHOPLINE’ physical pop-up store campaign, we hope to provide our merchants with a real, hands-on opportunity to experience the benefits of the O2O model.”
