The Galeria Malta shopping centre in Poznań has been sold by Sierra Balmain. The buyer and the transaction price have not been disclosed.
The new owner, an independent European investment manager, will take over Galeria Malta in the fourth quarter of this year. Onyx Asset Management will take on the management of the centre.
Balmain bought the mall on the banks of the city’s Lake Malta (Jezioro Maltańskie) from its developer Neinver in 2018. It was opened in 2009 and was recently extensively refurbished.
“While working on the strategy for Galeria Malta, the key was its unique location as well as being a special place for Poznań residents. We have successfully expanded the range of services and attractions offered in this place, and we have also opened the centre up for cooperation with new partners,” said Aleksandra Mazzini, the COO of Sierra Balmain.
The 54,000sq m Galeria Malta features such fashion brands as TK Maxx, H&M and New Yorker. As well as a range of other services and restaurants, it also offers a selfie museum, a go-kart track, a squash club, an escape room, temporary artistic and educational exhibitions, music, dance and sports events, conferences and workshops.
